In the global GX context
For global readers, this paper adds a developing-economy perspective to the energy-transition literature, complementing TCFD/ISSB-aligned transition planning by mapping technology options and barriers in India. It is a broad review rather than a disclosure or accounting study, so its value lies in contextualizing emerging-market renewable pathways within global decarbonization and transition-finance debates.

📄 Abstract(原文)
Abstract Renewable energy innovation has become a critical component of the global transition toward a sustainable, secure, and low-carbon energy system. Growing energy demand, climate change, depletion of conventional fossil-fuel resources, and concerns regarding energy security have accelerated the development and adoption of renewable energy technologies. Innovation in solar photovoltaic systems, wind energy, hydropower, bioenergy, geothermal energy, green hydrogen, energy storage, smart grids, and digital energy-management systems is transforming the structure of modern energy systems. This research paper examines the concept, evolution, major technological developments, economic significance, environmental benefits, challenges, and future prospects of renewable energy innovation. It also discusses the role of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technologies, advanced batteries, floating solar, offshore wind, green hydrogen, and decentralized energy systems in improving the efficiency and reliability of renewable energy. Particular attention is given to the Indian context, including India's renewable-energy potential, policy initiatives, technological development, and opportunities for sustainable economic growth. The paper adopts a descriptive and analytical research approach based primarily on secondary information from academic literature, institutional reports, government publications, and international energy organizations. The study finds that renewable energy innovation can reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, improve energy security, create employment, encourage technological development, and support inclusive economic growth. However, challenges such as intermittency, energy storage, high initial investment, grid integration, land requirements, financing constraints, supply-chain dependencies, and skill shortages must be addressed. The paper concludes that sustained investment in research and development, supportive public policy, private-sector participation, technological collaboration, and development of skilled human resources are essential for accelerating renewable energy innovation and achieving long-term sustainable development.
