English

This study builds a product-level exergy-cost-carbon responsibility framework for a photovoltaic-photothermal biomass gasification multi-generation system coupled with chemical looping ammonia generation (CLAG). Comparing eight configurations via thermodynamic, economic, environmental, MCDM, sensitivity, and Monte Carlo analyses, Scenario 1 achieves the highest energy (64.12%) and exergy (51.18%) efficiencies, Scenario 7 the highest NPV (22.83 M$), and Scenario 2 the best overall score (0.7304). Annual operating hours and capital investment dominate economic outcomes.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters

In the global GX context

Globally, this work contributes to lifecycle carbon accounting for multi-generation systems producing hydrogen carriers like ammonia, relevant to ISSB/CSRD-aligned product-level emissions allocation. It offers a methodological template for attributing cost and carbon responsibility across co-products, though it does not directly engage disclosure standards.

📄 Abstract(原文)

The exergy–cost–carbon nexus of the electricity–heating–cooling–ammonia multi-generation system remains challenging to quantify. To address this, this study develops a product-level exergy–cost–carbon responsibility framework for a photovoltaic–photothermal-assisted biomass gasification system coupled with a chemical looping ammonia generation (CLAG) process. Specifically, exergy flows serve as the common carrier for cost and lifecycle carbon-footprint transfer, while energy level characterizes differences in product energy quality. Then, eight configurations are compared employing thermodynamic, economic, environmental, multi-criteria decision-making, sensitivity, and probabilistic uncertainty analyses. Scenario 1 achieves the highest energy and exergy efficiencies of 64.12% and 51.18%, respectively, whereas Scenario 7 yields the highest net present value of 22.83 M$. Scenario 2 provides the best overall performance with a comprehensive score of 0.7304, and remains first under both the standalone analytic hierarchy process and entropy weighting. Sensitivity and Monte Carlo analyses identify annual operating hours and capital investment as the dominant economic factors. These results demonstrate the importance of energy-quality-based product allocation and lifecycle uncertainty in CLAG-based multi-generation assessment.
