The issue of managing renewable electricity generation facilities in the agricultural sector has become especially relevant in the context of growing energy insecurity, rising production costs, climate-related obligations, and the strategic need to strengthen the resilience of national economies. For agriculture, the energy dimension is no longer limited to cost minimization or technical modernization. It increasingly concerns the continuity of technological processes, the ability of enterprises to reduce dependence on external energy supply, and the transformation of waste and local resources into productive assets. Under these conditions, renewable energy is becoming an integral part of managerial decision-making rather than a narrowly specialized engineering solution. The article discusses the managerial significance of different renewable energy options in agriculture, emphasizing that the selection of a specific technological solution depends on the production profile of an enterprise, the structure of its energy consumption, the availability of raw materials, and the role of energy in value creation. A separate emphasis is placed on the challenges that complicate the implementation and operation of renewable energy facilities in the agricultural sector. These challenges include institutional uncertainty, financial barriers, infrastructural constraints, the vulnerability of energy systems, workforce shortages, and the need for complex coordination between technological and managerial functions.
