English
Analyzing the EU-27 over 2015–2025, this study tests whether economies with greater digital absorptive capacity saw different renewable-capacity trajectories during the post-2022 AI acceleration. Using two-way fixed-effects, event-study, and differential-exposure models, it shows the 'twin transitions' of AI and renewables can compete for power, capital, and policy attention. A full replication package with data and R code is provided.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Speaks to a core tension in global transition finance: AI-driven electricity demand versus renewable build-out. Relevant to ISSB/CSRD disclosure of energy use and to how investors assess whether digital and climate transitions reinforce or crowd out each other.
📄 Abstract(原文)
This replication package contains the analytical data, R code, intermediate outputs, robustness diagnostics, figures, and documentation supporting the study “When Twin Transitions Compete: AI Acceleration, Digital Absorptive Capacity, and Renewable-Capacity Expansion in the European Union.” The study examines the EU-27 over 2015–2025 and evaluates whether economies with greater predetermined digital absorptive capacity experienced different renewable-capacity trajectories during the post-2022 acceleration in artificial intelligence. The package supports reproduction of the principal two-way fixed-effects models, event-study estimates, post-2022 differential-exposure specifications, placebo tests, alternative exposure and outcome models, mechanism tests, leave-one-country-out analysis, geopolitical sensitivity tests, and wild-cluster-bootstrap inference.
