📄 Abstract(原文)

Throughout the presentation, a discussion on nuclear energy's role in the global energy transition, and how nuclear physics, energy policy, and sustainability relate together. Discussing the history of both nuclear accidents at Three Mile Island (1979) and Chernobyl (1986), gave a light insight into how this influenced Denmark's 1985 nuclear ban, despite both disasters resulting from human error and design deficiencies rather than inherent physical limitations. Fourth-generation technologies, including molten salt reactors and small modular systems, promise to address traditional concerns about safety and waste management through passive safety systems and closed fuel cycles. The evidence suggests that an intelligent combination of nuclear and renewable energies, rather than a singular choice, represents the most viable strategy for achieving effective decarbonisation at global scale.
