English
This paper examines carbonate low water-demand cement (CNV-50KB) as a way to cut clinker content in cement systems. Compared with conventional Portland cement PC500D0, it shows comparable strength development and setting times while requiring less water and clinker. Published-data assessment indicates lower specific CO2 emissions and production energy intensity, supporting it as an environmentally sound alternative.

📝 gxceed 編集解説 — Why this matters
In the global GX context
Cement accounts for roughly 7-8% of global CO2 emissions, making clinker substitution a core industrial decarbonization lever under ISSB/CSRD transition-plan disclosure. This study adds empirical performance data on carbonate-based low water-demand binders, relevant to Scope 1 reduction claims and low-carbon material procurement in construction value chains.

📄 Abstract(原文)
This paper examines an approach to reducing clinker content in cement systems through the use of carbonate low water-demand system. The selection of calcium-based carbonate systems is justified in comparison with magnesia-based binders, which are limited by high water demand and technological constraints. Based on an analysis, the carbonate low water-demand cement CNV-50KB is selected and compared with conventional Portland cement PC500D0. The comparison focuses on key technological parameters, including strength development at different curing stages and setting times. The results show that CNV-50KB provides mechanical and technological performance comparable to Portland cement while exhibiting reduced water demand and a lower clinker content. An environmental assessment based on published data indicates a reduction in specific CO2 emissions and production energy intensity. The findings confirm the potential of carbonate low water-demand cements as an effective and environmentally sound alternative to traditional Portland cement.
