📄 Abstract（原文）

The article addresses the analysis of the fiscal pressure that climatic events that Costa Rica has been experiencing in the period 2010-2022. Costa Rican scientists agree that natural disasters are the result of the combination of geographic and climatic characteristics, as well as climate change generated by human activity on the planet. For this analysis, an exhaustive review of various databases and secondary sources is carried out to identify trends and show the pressure that natural disasters are exerting on public finances from the increase in public spending. Among the main findings is that Costa Rica does not have the own resources or external financing to deal with the number of climatic events that are occurring. In this sense, the country will have to finance the expenditure for recovery and reconstruction of public infrastructure and support the social and productive sectors with both internal and external debt.
