This paper proposes a structural blueprint to transition Dhanbad, India's monocentric coal-extractive basin, into a circular, regenerative "Food Diamond" economy centered on decentralized mushroom cultivation. Leveraging existing rail logistics and Stametsian bioremediation, it addresses acid mine drainage, absorbs displaced informal labor, and re-engineers energy dependencies ahead of post-2030 fossil fuel contraction.
